extension of a private house, PERCETON

The clients approached us with a brief to alter and extend their existing property to improve the flow to the rear of the house.

They wanted us to achieve a layout that reflected their own design interests and to be responsive to their active growing family lifestyle.

Our solution was to provide a large open plan living/ dining space with separate wet room and utility area.  We provided them with a contemporary flat roofed external appearance with a mix of stone, render and timber cladding complete with exaggerated roof overhangs and large lantern roof.

It was important to provide them with a strong connection with the large back garden and as such we opted to install two sets of bi-fold doors which could almost fully open the back of the house to the garden in the summer, whilst providing defined living areas in the colder months.
